Lessons Learned

It is a busy time at PLAY during school breaks.  We have learned some things during those busy times that can help us to help you have a fun and stress free experience at PLAY when you visit during school holidays.

MORNINGS ARE BUSY - everyone comes at the same and the time between 10am and 1pm are the busiest.  We learned to start a Wait List.  It worked pretty well as those who were "waiting" played in the Creative Play Area or did a craft and when spaces opened up, they were able to move in and play in the gyms too.  In actuality, they did what they would have done, just in reverse.

HAVE A VARIETY - because it is busy it is more important than ever to have variety.  We have 3 areas to experience when coming out to play.  Gyms, craft/story time and creative play.  Guests can move to different areas if others are busy and in the gyms our awesome Gym Supervisors will provide activities to participate in so we can get at least some of the kids moving in the same direction at the same time and having fun together

FACILITIES - most people want to eat at the same time as well and we are making available an "overflow" area to take a break and eat if our Family Eating Area fills up.

CLEANLINESS - we take great pride in keeping the PLAY facility clean for our guests.  Extra staff will be on hand to make sure the Creative Play Area stays tidy to be as safe as possible, that the Family Eating Area is tidy for each hungry visitor and that the bathrooms are clean and comfortable.

GYM DIVISION - it is vital sometimes for us to divide the gyms to be able to have privacy and accessibility at the same time.  For our Camps and Care we will divide the gyms to provide a private area separate from parents and children in to play.  We would like to keep this consistent and it will happen at 12:30 and 3:30 each week day for one hour.

MIXTURE OF AGES - we are running an Early Bird Drop-In Play for 3 and under only to allow our little ones time to play before the bigger kids come.  Throughout the day, if there is a significant number of younger and older age groups, we can separate the groups into each gym and run more age appropriate activities.

If you have any questions or comments about PLAY procedures do not hesitate to ask.  You can email PLAY or ask for Colleen when you are at the facility.  We always welcome your feedback.
